Propagation-based phase-contrast tomography for high-resolution lung imaging with laboratory sources

March 2016, AIP Advances 6, 035007 (2016); http://dx.doi.org/10.1063/1.4943898 - Martin Krenkel, Mareike Töpperwien, Christian Dullin, Frauke Alves, and Tim Salditt

A team from University of Göttingen shows high-resolution phase-contrast tomography experiments done on whole mice, with a MetalJet-based laboratory setup. The high brilliance of the MetalJet enables propagation-based phase contrast in local tomography, even though there is highly absorbing tissue surrounding the mouse lung.

A video showing the reconstruction of the mouse lung can be found by follwing this url: https://youtu.be/s2q4wmYCkls
