Excillum joins the European consortium FA4.0 to develop automated failure diagnostics tools
Excillum, together with Swedish partners Ericsson, DirectConversion, RISE, Gimic and Materiex, has joined the European consortium FA4.0 to bring together the know-how and expertise of European leading semiconductor and system suppliers, providers of diagnostic equipment, and institutes active in failure analysis research and deep learning data analysis. The goal of the project is to develop a comprehensive mostly automated process chain for failure diagnostics, integrating self-learning data analysis and defect detection and localization, standardized material analysis and centralized data acquisition, and correlation to electrical performance.
The Swedish consortium will work on improving the key components of high-resolution X-ray imaging capabilities and adding a higher degree of autonomy in the analysis using AI-based image recognition approaches. The project will run until the end of 2022.
The project title is “Failure Analysis 4.0 – Key for reliable electronic devices in smart mobility and industry production” and is listed here.
This project is funded by Vinnova within the framework of the EUREKA cluster EURIPIDES2.
