Excillum launches MetalJet F1016 – the next generation of extreme brightness microfocus X-ray sources
Based on Excillum’s unique metal-jet anode technology, the MetalJet F1016 is a completely new X-ray source based on the result of twenty years of integrated innovation. MetalJet F1016 combines unparalleled speed, precision and versatility to meet the highest demands of cutting-edge research and high-throughput industrial inspection. MetalJet F1016 is a 160 kV microfocus X-ray source with up to 1600 W of power at 30 µm spot size.
- Enables sub-second CT scanning with micrometer resolution for in-line industrial inspection or time resolved methods such as 4DCT.
- Offers even higher resolution, faster scan times and more flux compared to previous generation MetalJets for scientific discovery.
- Designed for at-line and in-line metrology and inspection in advanced manufacturing, bridging the gap from lab to fab in e.g. semiconductor and battery industry.

Among a series of advanced integrated technologies, the new MetalJet F combines the world’s first high-pressure electromagnetic pump with significantly extended cathode lifetime to enable new levels of non-stop operation.
